Winds of Change Prediction
The Dragon Festival is fast approaching, a big event in Cantha. It should start around July 1, 2011. Following the trend of the last few years (starting one day earlier than the previous year, not counting the first year when it started on the 30th of June), it will probably be on June 30, 2011.

The Winds of Change is in the works and expected to come any time now.

Agreed, but it would be nice sooner, rather than later.

I'm more excited about the Dragon Festival so I can finally finish off my Sweet Tooth title without breaking the bank. But yea, WoC would be cool too

I'm more excited about the Dragon Festival because my bank's getting a little low since I've been spending a lot on new builds and new armor lately.
DF's always been a great source of income, even before I discovered how much I could rake in going for Vanquisher.
All those presents from Kisu are guaranteed to turn into gold...as long as I don't get stuck with extra V-tokens.

june is almost 1/2 over and we have heard NOTHING....I would hope they would get it out this month (or not sure what they would consider 'exciting'--perhaps the devs are going on a road trip????)
I would just be happy to see it START sometime before wintersday 2012.

Knowing stumme, "exciting things" might well have been that PvP update.

"Exciting Things" means more people buying costumes. John meant exciting things, such as more money, for him and the company.
What? Exciting things for the players? Ha!

I personally am extremely excited about both upcoming events. Hopefully though, they don't choose to start WoC in the week before Dragon Festival starts. I would like time to be able to go through that storyline without having to worry about rings and items.

Wow, lots of Anet hate being thrown around for really no reason. While I'm not going to defend everything Stumme and the live team is doing, at least they are doing something.
Even if there was no new update between now and when GW2 comes out, I would say I got my money's worth out of the game. Its not like we are playing WoW or some other p2p game. Compared to any other game that is only supported buy the purchase price (and completely optional items from the store), we have been fortunate to have the support and updates we have received. Now let me get off my soapbox before I become a target for the flamethrowers.
Back to the original topic, the last updates with the envoys and imperial faction are also pointing towards Cantha, so it looks like their complete focus is there. I can't think of a better way for them to tie in WoC than with the Dragon festival, as it is a purely Canthan holiday. We only have half a month to wait for it. >)

Do not forget they singlehandedly fixed RA and ruined it again with the same update.

My prediction is that we'll see something new happen during the canthan festival, starting the thread of the WoC storyline.
My bet is we'll get an assassination attempt on the Emperor during his appearance in Shing jea by rebellious Tengu and imperial backlash on ALL Tengu, followed by a storyline of hunting the rebellious Tengu and trying to help the peaceful Tengu.

No, RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO that, RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO the tengu. Most annoying and pointless race in the game. They tried to make things interesting with "Day of the Tengu" and most people, me included, didn't give a shit about it. All what tengu have in Cantha is a stupid outpost with like 7 NPCs in the middle of nub island.
They should make things more interesting, like Luxons attempt to assassinate the emperor and whatnot. Now THAT would lead to interesting events.
But tengu? my character is strong enough to wipe down all the tengu by this point, Talon (scrub) Silverwing included

Leeloo does not share your antagonism towards chicken.
And neither do I. There are several places different Tengu tribes can be encountered. Although I agree more could and should have been done with the Tengu, they are not exactly confinded to a single village on the noob island. Their inclusion in the Bonus Mission Pack was a step in the right direction but political relations in the Dragon Empire have been pretty much left unexplained.

Inscriptable canthan weapons any skin/any attribute would be best update ever(at least for utility purposes)
So I'm expecting this to be implented.
Sorry guys, but it's just fair, as we can get them in pvp so i don't see a reason to keep them not avaible in all attributes/inscriptable(unless i count rarity/value, but that's another story)
